My journey
-
I started in Psychology, specialising in Community Psychology, with a focus on how people are shaped by systems, environments, and the way information is presented to them. That lens fundamentally changed how I see problems, not just at an individual level, but across entire ecosystems.
Working in insurance operations exposed me to the reality of complex, fragmented systems and the cognitive load they place on people. It was a turning point that led me to UX.
Product design felt like a natural evolution, a space where I could apply cognitive psychology, behavioural insight, and systems thinking to design experiences that are not just usable, but genuinely supportive. I’m particularly driven by simplifying complexity and creating systems that enable people to do their best work.

My experience sits at the intersection of research, operations, and product design, where I’ve worked extensively within highly regulated environments like healthcare and insurance. I design for complexity, navigating policies, legacy systems, and operational constraints to create experiences that are both usable and scalable.
I’m most comfortable tackling environments with complex flows and challenging infrastructures, where simplifying systems and reducing cognitive load can drive meaningful impact for both users and organisations.
-
I currently work as a Senior Product Designer at Bupa, focusing on complex systems and enterprise transformation. Alongside this, I work on a freelance basis, designing websites and applications and bringing structure and clarity to different types of digital products.
I’m passionate about sharing what I’ve learned, so I’m mentoring, supporting, and inspiring others to find their path into design.
-
Looking ahead, I’m interested in contributing to a more inclusive and equitable future for design. As a designer I’m questioning existing systems and I want to expand on whose needs are considered.
I’m drawn to work that empowers communities, supports marginalised groups, and creates meaningful, real-world impact while being mindful of the environment.
I’m particularly curious about how we use AI responsibly. Ideally, I’d like to explore how innovation can coexist with sustainability, ethics, and care for both people and the planet.

I love powerlifting, basketball and electro-pop. Oh, and anything Dan Levy has created.
My skills
-
I define product direction by connecting user needs, business goals, and technical constraints. I lead discovery, shape product strategy, and align cross-functional teams to solve the right problems, especially in complex, multi-service and highly regulated environments.
My approach combines systems thinking and service design to ensure decisions scale across products, teams, and touchpoints. It’s always about the bigger picture.
-
I ground design decisions in real user behaviour through a mix of qualitative and quantitative research. From interviews and live observations to usability testing and data analysis, I uncover actionable insights that drive measurable outcomes.
I use research not just to validate ideas, but to continuously improve experiences and reduce friction in complex workflows.
-
I design intuitive, accessible, and scalable experiences by structuring information clearly and simplifying complex workflows. My focus is on reducing cognitive load and enabling users to complete tasks efficiently. My goal is to make it work and not just make it pop.
I bring together interaction design, IA, and accessibility to create experiences that work for everyone.
-
I specialise in designing complex enterprise ecosystems, where multiple tools, services, and teams must work together seamlessly. I design across systems, not just screens, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency at a platform level.
My work focuses on simplifying operations, connecting workflows, and enabling organisations to move from fragmented tools to unified experiences.
-
I translate ideas into tangible solutions through rapid prototyping, iteration, and close collaboration with product and engineering. I use prototypes to test assumptions early, align teams, and accelerate decision-making.
I’m comfortable working from early concepts through to high-fidelity design within real system constraints.
-
I explore how emerging technologies like AI can enhance decision-making, streamline workflows, and support users in complex environments. I integrate AI thoughtfully into experiences, focusing on usability, trust, and real operational value.
My work bridges innovative capabilities with practical application in enterprise products. AI adds real value when grounded in clear user intent and real world needs.
